Simple Indian Semiya Uppumav

            Uppumav is a non veg item which is an every day dish in the life of each Indian. This delicious recipe can be prepared within 5-8 minutes.              I learnt simple Indian Semiya uppumav recipe from my mom. My mom is a good cook. She prepares all dishes very fast. I would like to share the cooking recipe with you. Please find out the ingredients and method of simple Indian Semiya Uppumav cooking recipe.


Simple Indian Semiya Uppumav Cooking Recipe

Ingredients :-
  • Semiya / Vermicelli  -  1 cup
  • Green chilly cut into small pieces  -  2-3 no's
  •  Curry leaves - 1 stem
  • Ginger chopped  -  1 tsp
  • Uluva  -  4-6 no's
  • Urud Daal - 1/4 tsp
  • Ghee   -  1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds  -  1 tbsp
  • Small onion chopped  -  2 tbsp
  • Water  -  1 cup (adjustable)

Simple Indian Semiya Uppumav Cooking Recipe

Method :-

  • Heat the ghee in a frying pan.
  • Add the vermicelli / Semiya into the pan and fry till light brown.
  • Heat another pan and add 1 tbsp of ghee and add the mustard seeds.
  • Let them pop up and add the urudu daal and uluva.
  • Fry them for few seconds.
  • Add all other ingredients except water.
  • Fry them till light brown colour.
  • Add the water and boil.
  • Add the salt.
  • Reduce the heat and add fried vermicelli/semiya and mix well.
  • Cover with a lid and cook it for 2 minutes on a low flame.
  • Turn off the heat and serve the delicious Vermicelli/Semiya Uppumav.
