Simple Indian Potato-Peas (Aaloo-Mattar) Masala Cooking Recipe
Ingredients :-
- Potato (Aaloo) cut into cubes - 1 big
- Peas (Mattar) - 1 cup
- Tomato chopped - 1 medium size
- Green chilly slit in length - 3-4 no's
- Curry leaves - 2 stems
- Garlic chopped - 1 tbsp
- Ginger chopped - 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
- Onion sliced - 1 big
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Chilly powder - 1 tbsp
- Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt - as required

Method :-
- Soak the peas(if dried peas) in the water 8 hours before of cooking.
- Take a pressure cooker and add the peas with salt,curry leaves,turmeric powder,green chillies and 1 1/2 cup of water.
- Pressure cook till three wistles come out.
- add the potato cubes into the pressure cooker and cook it till 2 more whistles come out. Now the potatoes and peas will be cooked thoroughly.
- Heat the oil in another frying pan and add the onion.
- Saute the onions till it changes to light brown colour.
- Add the chopped ginger and garlic and saute till they become light brown colour.
- Add the tomatoes and stir well for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the coriander powder and Chilly powder and mix well. Stir well till dark brown colour.
- Add garam masala powder and stir fry for a few seconds.
- Add the previously cooked potato-Peas in to it. Continue ccooking for 2-3 more minutes.
- Turn off the stove and serve.
