             Simple Indian Cabbage masala is a pure vegetarian dish. This cuisine is South Indian traditional dish. This is an every day dish cooked in all Indian kitchens. I made this dish for our Onam festive meal. It's very simple to make. It is really a healthy and delicious food item. All children as well as adults like this cabbage masala. Simple Indian 5 minutes Cabbage Masala Cooking Recipe
Ingredients :-
  • Cabbage  chopped -   1 small size
  • Onion chopped   -  2 medium size
  • Mustard seeds  -  2 tbsp
  • Green chillies  slit in length -  6- 8 no's 
  • Curry leaves  -  2 stems
  • Shredded coconut  -  4 - 6  tsp (optional)
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp (optional)
  • Oil  -  2 tbsp
  • Salt   -  According to your taste

Simple Indian 5 minutes Cabbage Masala Cooking Recipe
Method :-
  • Mix the cabbage with salt , turmeric powder , 1 stem of curry leaves , green chillies for few minutes.
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan / cooking vessel and add the mustard seeds.
  • Let them pop up and add the curry leaves and stir fry for few seconds till the flavour comes out.
  • Add the onion and saute till little colour change.
  • Add the cabbage and mix well.
  • Cover with a lid and  cook the cabbage for 5 minutes on a minimum heat.
  • Add the coconut and again one more minute on a low heat.
  • Serve the cabbage with plain rice / chapati.
