Simple Indian Instant Dhaal – Drum stick leaves Curry Cooking Recipe
Ingredients:-
- Dhaal - 1 cup
- Drum stick leaves - ½ cup
- Small onions chopped - 2 no’s
- garlic finely minced - 3 cloves
- Dry red chilies - 4 no’s
- Curry leaves - 2 stems
- mustard seeds - ½ tsp
- Red chilly powder - 1 tbsp (adjust according to your choice)
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt - according to your taste
- Tomatoes finely chopped - 3 medium size
- Water - 1 cup
- Oil - 1 1/2 tbsp
Simple Indian Instant Dhaal – Drum stick leaves Curry Cooking Recipe
Method:-
- Add the dhaal ,one stem of curry leaves,tomato,turmeric powder,drum stick leaves, salt and water into pressure cooker.
- Then pressure cook for 2 whistle or till it becomes mashed.
- Heat oil in a cooking vessel and add the mustard seeds and let them pop.
- Add small onions and garlic and saute till they turn light brown.
- Add the red chilies and the remaining curry leaves and stir fry for a few seconds till the flavors are released in the oil.
- Turn off the fire.
- Add the red chilly powder and mix well for 10 seconds.
- Add the boiled dhaal and drum stick leaves into this vessel and mix well.
- Add the salt and water if necessary.
- Mix well and bring to a boil.Turn off the fire.
- Serve hot with rotis/chapatis/steamed white rice.
